Laundry is a process here as you cannot use the washer and dryer simultaneously. In addition it takes at least 90 minutes for a cycle of laundry to complete. Why yes, we are a bunch of impatient Americans. We decided to do things Italian style and put the drying rack outside to speed things up. To say that it took all day to do laundry is not an exageration, in fact it is about 10:00 PM and the laundry is still not done.
I went on a short field trip this afternoon, it was a short one because the hill next to the villa about killed me as I walked up it. I took some additional pictures to help remember our time in Tuscany.
We had a chef, Eleesa, come into the villa tonight to make us dinner. Absolutely fabulous. The first course was a puff pastry with mushrooms, second course was ravioli with meat sauce, the third course was roasted chicken and potatoes, and desert was coconut cake with peaches in it. Dinner was accompanied by several bottles of wine from a couple of our local vineyards.
Each day with these women is even better than the one before. It is hard to believe that we leave for Rome in the morning. We will miss Tuscany, but we are so looking forward to spending time in Rome.
Ciao for now
