Day 7 kicked off with a group assessment of overall body aches and pains that may have been caused by the previous evenings boat adventure. Happy to report we all survived with minimal, if any, issues.
We made plans to head over to the town of Carvoeiro in the early afternoon. Heidi and I ordered rides via the Bolt app, the nearest drop off point was to the Glamour Gentleman’s Club. Not awkward at all. 🤣
We wandered down the streets and stopped in at any stores that looked promising for any gifts or trinkets that may have caught our attention. Of course there was a need for cocktails once we reached the bottom of the main hill.
After the cocktail break we again wandered around a bit before deciding to stop for dinner. We enjoyed a great dinner and most of us headed back to the villa. A few of the broads made a run to gather more essential supplies, also known as more wine, beer, water, and Coke Zero.
This was followed up by eating a lot of popcorn and a very animated game of charades and a card game of Garbage. Not surprising to any of us, Joann was the victor.
Please pretend I inserted a bunch of pictures here, unfortunately nobody took any. 🤣
Day 8 is our final day in our Benagil villa. This was an intentional lazy day. Much laundry was done, books were read and there was a lot of talking. Did I mention talking? So much talking and so much laughter.
Before we knew it, it was time to get showered and cleaned up before the chef showed up to make us dinner. Unbeknownst to me it was picture night. I’m sure it was discussed and as usual I wasn’t listening. 😎
The chef provided a wonderful meal with just so much food. We started off with breads, cheese, and honey. Followed by bruschetta and tomato, mozzarella and basil salad. The main entree was lasagne and dessert was a berry panna cotta.
After dinner, we had a round of “Ask a Question”. The newly updated rules to this game are if you ask the question, you also have to be the first one to answer it.
This game was followed by a game of cards. Golf was the chosen game for cards and Diane was the winner.
For my family and friends who may be wondering, no, I did not participate in the card games. 😉
Tomorrow we are off to Lisbon!
Just in case anyone is curious, we still not only love each other, we like each other too!
Caio for now!
