Day 1 - Traveling to Porto

We left Minneapolis with more women still holding at 59 years old, however we didn't even make it to Amsterdam before the score had flipped and the 60 year olds are now the majority.  

Happy Birthday Kim!

We are so grateful for you!  This group of women is better because of you.  You are always willing to help, no matter what the situation.  You are strong, beautiful, crazy smart, so kind, a wonderful mom and wife, and simply just an amazing friend.  You are the best and are greatly loved!  Here is to the best decade yet!

Even though you had to endure a beer shower and a water geyser on each flight, you are starting 60 strong!

We finally made it to Porto.  What a beautiful city.  After getting to the apartment and climbing way too freaking many flights of steps to get into it, the first order of business was to get some wine.  We found some wines we enjoyed and unfortunately one that smelled like a wet dog and will forever be known as "wet dog wine".  Thanks Mary for validating the it did indeed smell like a wet dog.  Please note, that did not stop us from drinking it. =)

We ventured out to enjoy our first dinner in Porto and of course to celebrate Kim's birthday.

Even after a very long 30+ hours of traveling and trying to find our way around Porto, there were still so many, many laughs.  So looking forward to each and every day of this adventure with these crazy, fun, amazing women!
