Suitcases....

You know what happens when a bunch of women decide to go to Italy?  Well let me tell you, you have to put some restrictions on the amount of things they can bring with them. Starting with the size and number of luggage pieces that can be brought with, especially since their vehicles are supposedly so much smaller than ours.

With that said, let the luggage debate begin.

22", 24", 26" so many size choices, so much time.  Yes, much time.  We have plenty of time to figure this out, but we like to be prepared here in 8broadsabroad.  You may be wondering how we could ever come up with a decision.  Hello?!?!?  If you have been reading this blog you know we got together for dinner and drinks.  This time, we even threw in a movie.  Then it was off to JC Penney to compare luggage sizes.  It was determined that either 24" or 26" would be fine. Nothing bigger, but we can always go smaller.  As for the carry on, well I say bring whatever you are willing to potentially hold on your lap for the 3+ hour drive to the villa from the airport.

According to Heidi, she has managed to pack for three months in Florida in just a 22” suitcase. I believe the gauntlet has been thrown down for the rest of us.

The good news is that I do not have to pack scuba gear for this trip, so I'm thinking packing will be easy peasy.  However I did have to get a new piece of luggage since the scuba gear bag definitely does not meet the size requirements.  I went with the 24" bag, so I have already tripped and fallen over the gauntlet, but I am sure one of the other girls will pick it up and run with it.

The bad news, no dive trip in 2014.  But I know this trip will be completely worth such a sacrafice!
